Yes it finally happened! America’s next president-elect, America’s 44th president is an African-American!
l remember after Obama did a speech a few years back, one commentator said he could one day be the president of America or at least a candidate…
Films like Armageddon and TV shows like 24 predicated a black president and kind of put subliminal messages in our heads.
But for now we just have to accept the fact that we have an African American US president.
Where were you on election day? Did you get out to vote? How was your experience at the polling booth? Did you feel good knowing you were making a BIG difference in this election?
And when the results came out how was your reaction? Were you celebrating or tearing up like a lot of people? Even Jesse Jackson was caught crying like a baby, eyes all swollen….
I believe John McCain gave an excellent speech. I felt I actually saw the real McCain that night and felt he might have had a chance had he not been bashful of Obama and less arrogant.
Its been a crazy ride though. But I’m glad to have been part of it. Enough ups and downs. But its worth it.
The country has clearly spoken…I said we’d be pleasantly suprised! I’m glad it wasn’t a “tight” race.
This is a step in the right direction. Its funny how far “hope” can go. This is history people. You’ll be telling your kids about this.
This is most definitely a historic moment…and I am glad and fortunate to be alive to witness it all unravel. I’ll never forget this day November 4th, 2008.. This is history.

Barack Obama still has a lot of work to do. He has gathered some of the best minds for his campaign….he should learn from this and assemble the BEST team he can find to solve this country’s problems: Economy. Foreign Relations. Energy Independence. Healthcare/social services.
They’ve got a TON of work to do…but I’m hopeful.
Let us enjoy the moment…because you never know….at least, there is nothing like a ‘glass ceiling’ for a black man in America any more…
When you’re destined for greatness, there is nothing..nothing in this world that can stop you… God’s will has been done and I am here to witness it, you are here to witness it.
Well done Americans…
Congratulations to the Obama family, Joe Biden and the rest of all the democratic supporters, and most of all congratulations to everyone in America.
YES WE CAN!
You can keep up with Barack Obama’s Presidential journey here
Let me use this medium to say congratulations to Barack Obama and all those who contributed in one way or the other in making history all over again.
I’m glad that so many are so please that his skin color matches what they wanted in a president, but it hardly seems right that after forty some presidents with white skin that one president with a different level of melanin in his skin is reason to celebrate. How many “different colored” presidents are required before the real celebration can occur?
